Breaking News: Duke’s GM Reveals Potential landing spot  for Duke basketball McDonald’s All-American…

Breaking news has emerged regarding the potential landing spot for former Duke basketball McDonald’s All-American, Sean Stewart, as revealed by the team’s GM.

Despite the recent slow pace of activity on the recruiting trail for Duke basketball transfers, college basketball insiders have identified a frontrunner for Stewart’s next destination. Stewart, who recently entered the transfer portal from the Blue Devils, has reportedly visited Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Georgetown. According to insights from 247Sports insider Travis Branham, these three institutions are the primary contenders vying for the talented forward’s commitment.

Branham highlighted Ohio State as the school to watch closely in Stewart’s recruitment process. He noted that Jake Diebler, now the head coach at Ohio State, previously recruited Stewart and secured a visit from him. With Diebler now at the helm, the Buckeyes have identified a significant need for Stewart’s skills in the frontcourt, given his power, strength, motor, and athleticism.

Stewart, a McDonald’s All-American, made significant contributions during his first season with the Blue Devils, averaging 8.6 minutes, 2.6 points, and 3.2 rebounds per game. His standout performance came late in the regular season against NC State, where he recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

The decision to transfer came as a surprise, especially considering the opportunity to reunite with his high school teammate, Cooper Flagg, who is set to join Duke as the top-ranked freshman for the upcoming season. Flagg and Stewart previously played together at Montverde Academy (Fla.) two seasons ago during Stewart’s senior year.

Stewart played a pivotal role in Flagg’s official visit to Duke, contributing to the coaching staff’s successful recruitment of the highly touted prospect.

While Stewart has not announced a decision date or timeline for his next destination, it is expected that his announcement will come relatively soon, providing clarity on his future in college basketball.
