Following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, Julio Rodriguez’s elegant social media greeting to Patrick Mahomes went viral…

Super Bowl LVIII saw quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs ascend football’s Mount Everest for the third time on Sunday. Star player Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners is curious about the feeling of air at the summit.

Tens of thousands of fans attended Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, to witness the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in overtime. Rodriguez was one of those spectators.

The slugger for the Mariners observed the field from the stands as red and yellow confetti fell. Rodriguez captured the moment on camera and shared it on X, captioning it in a way that caused it to become viral.

“I’m curious to know how that feels. #starving,” Rodriguez penned.

In his second MLB season, Rodriguez completed with another All-Star season with the Mariners. Last season, the captivating outfielder had an OPS of.818 and batted.275 with 32 home runs. A record was also set by Rodriguez, who had one of the greatest hot streaks in MLB history.

Despite Rodriguez’s output, the Mariners were unable to advance to the postseason. Seattle’s 88-74 record means they just missed out. During his debut season, Rodriguez did get a taste of playoff action when Seattle advanced to the ALDS. The Houston Astros, who play in the same division as the Mariners, however, swept them 3-0.

This offseason, the Mariners have made some trades, one of which was for a former All-Star infielder.

If Rodriguez shows how “starving” he truly is and makes another step forward next season, the Mariners might actually be a serious contender in the American League.
