Southampton set to scout two potential targets ahead of January transfer window.

Southampton is intensifying its efforts for the January transfer window during the current pause in the Championship due to the international break.

In preparation for the upcoming transfer period, the club is reportedly dispatching scouts to observe two international players during the Austria vs. Germany friendly. The scouts from Southampton will be present at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion to assess the performances of Manprit Sarkaria, a versatile 27-year-old forward from Sturm Graz, and Maximilian Entrup, a 26-year-old center-forward playing for TSV Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Manprit Sarkaria has showcased versatility throughout his career, operating in various positions such as left wing, right wing, central striker, and attacking midfielder. Currently a key figure at Sturm Graz, Sarkaria has predominantly played as a center-forward this season, contributing three goals and four assists in the Austrian Bundesliga. Additionally, he has secured four assists in two OFB-Cup matches.

Maximilian Entrup, on the other hand, is recognized as an outright center-forward. The 26-year-old footballer plies his trade for TSV Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

With Southampton’s scouts attending the Austria vs. Germany clash, the club aims to gain valuable insights into the playing styles and potential contributions of these two international players, as they strategize for the upcoming transfer opportunities in January.
