Texans Head Coach reveals worrying update as he explains why 23- year-old star is ruled out of Buccaneers’ game…

The Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce will not play in his team’s Week 9 showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday after he suffered an ankle injury. The team is expected to make use of Devin Singletary, who was signed in the offseason, to fill the void.

Pierce has been a crucial player for the Texans this season, leading the team with 327 rushing yards. His average of 3.0 yards per carry sees him ranked 23rd overall in the NFL. Still, the 23-year-old has struggled to build on his rookie season last year, during which he averaged 72 yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry to total 939 yards in 13 games.

In addition to placing an added burden on Singletary’s shoulders, the Texans are also expected to increasingly rely on Mike Boone and Dare Ogunbowale as they seek the win against the Buccanneers on Sunday. The Texans are 3-4 this season and currently sit in second place in the AFC South.
