Panthers’ Head coach Frank Reich sent a ‘stunning’ message after Panthers first win as he responds to fans…

Following the Carolina Panthers’ first win of the 2023 season, where they defeated the Texans 15-13 with a game-winning field goal by kicker Eddy Pineiro, head coach Frank Reich emphasized the significance of continuous improvement during his Monday press conference.

Reich stressed the need for a relentless pursuit of self-improvement, saying, “The key is to maintain the same level of commitment. It’s about having an unwavering drive to enhance one’s abilities. Coaches and players must be fully dedicated to the process of self-improvement.”

In their recent game against Houston, the Panthers displayed a commendable performance by not committing turnovers, gaining 224 yards in total offense, and incurring only three penalties for a total of 20 yards. Reich pointed to these statistics as evidence of the team’s ongoing development, stating, “We have indeed made progress, particularly on the offensive front, with fewer penalties and turnovers. The execution is continually improving, but we need to work on eliminating mental mistakes that still plague us.”

Reich, who traditionally handles offensive playcalling, delegated this responsibility to Thomas Brown for the first time this season. When asked about his feelings regarding this decision, Reich admitted it was challenging but highlighted his satisfaction in not questioning the play calls. He expressed confidence in Brown’s playcalling abilities, making it a positive experience for him.
