BELGRADE — KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet has secured a massive piece of its long-term future, officially announcing that rising star Aleksej Nedeljković has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The highly anticipated deal ties the 18-year-old talent to the red-and-white jersey for the next four years, keeping him at Mali Kalemegdan through the 2029–30 season.
By locking down Nedeljković, Crvena zvezda continues its proud tradition of promoting and developing elite domestic talent right from their own youth ranks.

Nedeljković is the definition of a homegrown prospect. He first arrived at Crvena zvezda as a pre-infant (“mlađi pionir”) and steadily climbed through every single youth tier in the club’s academy system. Standing an imposing two meters tall with excellent perimeter instincts, he has quickly evolved into one of the most exciting young swingmen in European basketball.

While earning sparse minutes with the senior team in the AdmiralBet ABA League to build experience, Nedeljković truly showcased his elite potential during the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament (ANGT).
During the recent ANGT Finals, he completely took over the floor for Crvena zvezda’s U19 side, averaging a staggering 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and a 12.0 Performance Index Rating (PIR) per game. His raw scoring ability and defensive length make him a prototypical modern wing.
With this four-year commitment, head coach and management have sent a clear message: Nedeljković is expected to transition into a core piece of Crvena zvezda’s rotation as they balance the grueling physical demands of both regional championships and EuroLeague campaigns in the seasons ahead.
