Breaking News:Broncos Manager has Spoke With His Players to Play without Match officials Due to…

The Denver Broncos’ offensive line has emerged as one of the strongest units in the NFL, despite some key challenges like Mike McGlinchey’s MCL sprain and Lloyd Cushenberry’s departure in free agency. However, their depth could face a significant test this week.

During Wednesday’s practice ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos were without right tackle Alex Palczewski and center Luke Wattenberg, both of whom were injured in last Sunday’s game. Palczewski is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

Matt Peart stepped in for Palczewski after he left Sunday’s game, playing all but one snap at right tackle. Frank Crum took over for a single play when left tackle Garett Bolles briefly exited. Peart shifted to left tackle in Bolles’ absence, then returned to right tackle once Bolles came back.

At center, Alex Forsyth filled in for Wattenberg during the final 10 offensive snaps of the game.

On Tuesday, the Broncos made roster adjustments to bolster their depth, re-signing tackle Cam Fleming and adding center Dieter Eiselen from the practice squad. Fleming, who started 20 games over the last three seasons, wasn’t retained in the offseason but is back to provide reinforcement.

In addition to Palczewski and Wattenberg, wide receiver Josh Reynolds also missed Wednesday’s practice. Reynolds has been managing an Achilles issue, which limited his practice time in recent weeks. Though listed with a foot injury last week, he practiced fully ahead of the Broncos’ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The team also signed two wide receivers to the practice squad: Kaden Davis and former Saints draft pick A.T. Perry. Perry, who impressed during the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl practices, had 246 yards and four touchdowns on 18 receptions as a rookie but was on New Orleans’ practice squad this season.

Both new receivers were on the field for Wednesday’s practice.

Denver also began the process of returning running back Audric Estimé and cornerback Damarri Mathis from injured reserve. Both participated in practice on Wednesday, with Estimé eligible to return as soon as this weekend. Mathis was cleared to return last week but hadn’t practiced until now.
