Breaking: GM Rachel Baker Confirms Major Boost For Duke Basketball Ahead of 2024-25 After a Offseason Incident…

Projecting the 2024-25 Duke Blue Devils Basketball Starting Lineup!

With the 2024-25 season still a while away, Duke basketball fans are already eagerly anticipating what the next campaign might bring. The team has undergone significant changes this offseason, welcoming ten new players—a substantial turnover even by modern standards of player movement.

Head Coach Jon Scheyer discussed the changes on the Brotherhood Podcast, expressing confidence in the team’s direction. “We knew we had to have some change happen to take that next step for where we want to go,” Scheyer said. “We’ve executed that. … I’m really proud with where we’ve landed.”

As fans await the return of Duke basketball, let’s take a look at a possible starting lineup for Scheyer’s third year in Durham.

Point Guard: Tyrese Proctor

Tyrese Proctor is the likely candidate for Duke’s starting point guard position. With Jeremy Roach now playing for Baylor, Proctor seems the natural choice to take over the leadership role.

As a sophomore, Proctor started 25 games, averaging 30.4 minutes, 10.5 points, and 3.7 assists per game. He demonstrated versatility, capable of creating his own offense and shooting 35.2% from beyond the arc.

However, Proctor will need to deliver more consistently in his junior year. In critical moments last season, such as the Elite 8 loss to NC State, he was scoreless in 30 minutes, and against North Carolina, he scored only two points on 1-6 shooting. To be a reliable starter and leader, Proctor must enhance his impact in crucial games.

As the Blue Devils prepare for another season, the anticipation builds around how these new additions will gel and what the final starting lineup will look like. The team aims to make significant strides under Scheyer’s guidance, and fans are hopeful for a successful 2024-25 season.
