Breaking: Miami Football Has Major Boost With The Addition Of a Key Star Into The Roster…

The Miami football program is gearing up for a significant weekend as summer official visits begin on Friday. This weekend, the Hurricanes will host 16 prospects from the class of 2025, marking the start of a crucial month for recruiting.

Highlighted among the visitors are Miami’s 2025 commits: tight ends Luka Gilbert, Takaylen Muex, and Brock Schott. Currently, Miami’s 2025 class is ranked 30th nationally with seven commits.

LSU cornerback commit Jaboree Antoine is the only other visitor this weekend who is already committed to another school. The remaining prospects visiting Coral Gables include seven offensive players, eight defensive players, and one listed as an athlete. According to 247Sports, all but two visitors this weekend have shown considerable interest in the Hurricanes.

On the offensive side, in addition to Gilbert, Muex, and Schott, Miami will host offensive tackle Jaden Wilkerson, running backs Byron Louis and Shekai Mills-Knight, and wide receiver Tyler Williams. Gilbert, ranked 143rd in the 247Sports composite rankings, is the highest-ranked offensive visitor.

Defensively, besides Antoine, the visiting prospects include defensive lineman Floyd Boucard, cornerback Aidan Anding, edge rushers Javeon Campbell, Zion Grady, and Hayden Lowe, and linebackers Ezekiel Marcelin and Eric Winters. Andrew Purcell is listed as an athlete by 247Sports and as a cornerback by On3.

Among the official visitors, no 247Sports crystal balls favor Miami other than for the three current commits. However, On3 indicates that Marcelin has a 95% chance of committing to Miami, and Williams has a 29% chance. Miami is also in a strong position for other prospects like Grady (40%, second to Alabama) and Louis (32%, second to Florida State).

Historically, Miami has not secured many commitments during the first weekend of June, according to Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U. However, the Hurricanes have recruited well during June under head coach Mario Cristobal.

Looking ahead, Miami will host another 16 prospects the weekend of June 7, with 2025 quarterback commit Luke Nickel highlighting the group. Four prospects committed to other schools are also expected to visit next weekend.

With a packed schedule of official visits, the Miami football program is poised for a pivotal month in shaping its 2025 recruiting class.
