Exciting News: Texans Secure the Signing of Former Rams Champion and Super Bowl Winner.

Looking ahead to the next season, CJ Stroud is set to have another valuable target on the field.

Tom Pelissero from NFL Network revealed on Thursday that the Houston Texans have completed a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, bringing wide receiver Ben Skowronek on board. As part of the deal, the Texans and Rams will exchange 2026 draft picks in the sixth and seventh rounds.

Initially, the Rams had plans to release the 26-year-old Skowronek, but they managed to strike a trade deal before doing so.

Skowronek, a seventh-round pick in 2021, contributed to the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI victory in his rookie season. Although he didn’t feature prominently in the Rams’ passing game, he demonstrated glimpses of potential, notably in 2022 when he recorded 39 catches for 376 yards.

In Houston, Skowronek might not see a significant increase in playing time, considering the presence of standout WR Nico Collins, the dynamic Tank Dell, and the recent high-profile receiver acquisition. Nevertheless, Skowronek adds depth to the Texans’ receiving corps, providing another option as a possession receiver, making the trade a low-risk but potentially rewarding move for Houston.
