Baylor’s men’s basketball team made a significant move in the transfer portal, officially securing the commitment and signing of former Duke guard Jeremy Roach, marking their first major acquisition of the offseason.
Roach, a seasoned player with two-time captaincy at Duke, brings a wealth of experience to Baylor’s lineup. Having started in 108 games and appearing in 130 over four seasons with the Blue Devils, Roach joins Baylor with one remaining year of eligibility. His addition strengthens Baylor’s guard room alongside Jayden Nunn, Langston Love, and VJ Edgecombe.

Coach Scott Drew expressed enthusiasm about Roach’s arrival, highlighting his impressive track record in big games and leadership qualities. Roach’s accomplishments include contributing to Duke’s Final Four appearance in 2022, an ACC regular-season title in 2022, and an ACC Tournament title in 2023. Throughout his career, Roach has amassed 1,469 points and 402 assists, showcasing his scoring ability and playmaking skills.
