Aaron Gordon has shared an insightful perspective on Nikola Jokic’s pivotal role following the Nuggets-Lakers clash.
Last night, the Denver Nuggets secured a significant victory against the Los Angeles Lakers, prevailing with a scoreline of 112-105 in Game 3 of their opening playoff confrontation.
The Nuggets demonstrated their offensive prowess as four of their starting lineup notched over 20 points each. Leading the charge was Aaron Gordon, who delivered an impressive performance with 29 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and a steal, showcasing his efficiency with a shooting percentage of 12 out of 18 from the field.
Post-game, Gordon engaged with the press, and one of his remarks regarding Nikola Jokic quickly gained traction, as reported by Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.
Gordon expressed, “Joker’s a basketball genius. I mean, he’s just a genius and happens to play basketball. He makes the game very easy. When you think the game like that, the game unlocks. You can start seeing plays ahead, two, three steps ahead.”
Jokic also left an indelible mark on the game, contributing 24 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists, and a steal while maintaining an impressive shooting percentage of 9 out of 13 from the field, albeit missing his sole three-point attempt. Widely regarded as one of the NBA’s elite players, Jokic stands as a formidable contender for his third MVP title.

Gordon and Jokic have shared the court as teammates for four seasons now. Their synergy was particularly evident last year when they spearheaded the Nuggets to a Western Conference Finals sweep against the Lakers before clinching the 2023 NBA Championship against the Miami Heat led by Jimmy Butler.
With a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, the Nuggets are poised for Game 4, scheduled for Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
