Ruben Selles sends a four-word message on Reading FC takeover after exclusivity was signed…

Ruben Selles discusses the potential takeover of Reading FC following the club’s announcement of signing exclusivity with an undisclosed group. Selles expresses optimism, hoping for positive outcomes from the development, considering the club’s recent struggles under Dai Yongge’s ownership.

While the exclusivity agreement marks a significant step towards the sale, Selles remains cautious, stating that he lacks detailed information and doesn’t feel calm about the situation yet. He emphasizes the importance of confidentiality in such negotiations but acknowledges the uncertainty surrounding the process.

“I saw the statement from the club, I have no details on it but hopefully it is good news.

“Because of exclusivity, I have read that, but I don’t have confirmation of anything, I just know the club has accepted the letter of intention, and hopefully if it’s happening, then it’s a good thing for the club and the people working at the club.”

He continued: “I don’t feel that yet (calm). I know there is a situation with the statement but that didn’t bring any calmness to me.

“We still don’t have any information. The process is correct because you have confidentiality there so not everyone has to know.

“But I don’t know anything about it so it’s exactly the same position.

“For the moment we didn’t get any more points deductions and I hope the club can keep it like that until the end of the season, but that should not even be a conversation for us.”

Despite the ongoing discussions, Selles shifts focus to the team’s performance on the field, expressing the desire to maintain their position in the league without any distractions. Reading FC is set to play against Northampton Town, with Selles’ side aiming to secure points to stay clear of the relegation zone in League One.
