C.J. Gardner-Johnson dropped a five-word apology message to fans after penning a three-year deal with the Eagles…

C.J. Gardner-Johnson: “Let’s go get us one.”

C.J. Gardner-Johnson, following reports of his three-year contract agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles, directly addressed his previous criticism of the city.

During a video game livestream last July, the 26-year-old cornerback bluntly expressed his dislike for Philadelphia, particularly its people, calling them “obnoxious.”

However, Gardner-Johnson wasted no time in offering an apology to the fans of Philly upon his return, acknowledging that, despite his earlier remarks, he recognizes Philadelphia as an amazing place and cherishes the memories made there.

Despite having led the league with six interceptions during his tenure with the Eagles in 2022, Gardner-Johnson had a brief stint with the Detroit Lions last season due to injury. Now, after rejoining the Eagles, he aims to contribute to the team’s resurgence following a disappointing 2023 season finish.

It seems Eagles fans have already welcomed Gardner-Johnson back with open arms, displaying their trademark passion and forgiveness.
