Despite experiencing disappointment, the 37-year-old Canadian Football League (CFL) veteran is fueled by an enduring passion for the sport, acknowledging the irrevocable nature of football retirement compared to more lenient returns seen in basketball or hockey.
Stanley Bryant boasts an impressive track record, clinching the CFL Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award four times and earning seven league all-star honors. His commitment to staying in the game is motivated by a desire to contribute to future Grey Cup victories for the Blue Bombers, citing his participation in four consecutive Grey Cups.
In line with securing key assets, the Blue Bombers are actively engaged in negotiations with Dalton Schoen and Brady Oliveira, with discussions underway for the potential return of quarterback Chris Streveler. Notably, the team has successfully restructured Kenny Lawler’s contract, now offering him $285,000 along with a $150,000 signing bonus.
