“It’s a perfect club”: Brighton’s starlet sends a stunning message to the 19-year-old star as he explains why it’s best for his compatriot to join Roberto De Zerbi’s side…

Brighton & Hove Albion remains keen on securing the services of Boca Juniors’ Valentín Barco, having previously failed in their attempts. Barco’s current contract, set to expire in December 2024, includes a $10 million release clause. Recent reports indicate that Brighton is prepared to activate this clause, recognizing the challenges Boca faces in renewing the 19-year-old’s contract.

Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte, who joined the Premier League side earlier this year from Rosario Central, has expressed his endorsement for Barco to consider a move to The Amex. Buonanotte, speaking to D Sports and relayed by TyC Sports, emphasized the opportunities the club offers, assuring that Barco would not only have the chance to play but also thrive. Buonanotte, reflecting on his positive experiences, described Brighton as an ideal club for young players entering European football.

While Manchester City has shown interest in Barco, Buonanotte highlighted the advantages of joining Roberto De Zerbi’s side. Stressing that the decision ultimately lies with Barco and his inner circle, Buonanotte praised Brighton as a welcoming and supportive club, particularly for young talents.

“Obviously, the decision is his, but as I am here, it’s a club that gives many opportunities. It’s not that he’s going to come here and not play, he’s always going to have the opportunity, and then it’s up to him,” he said.

“It’s a private decision that he will make with his family and his people, but this is a great club to start in Europe. Both in terms of football and the people who work there are very good people. It’s a perfect club that welcomes you very well, and more so to the young people.”

In response to the ongoing speculation, journalist Facundo Pérez reported that Boca Juniors is making a final attempt to renew Barco’s contract, aiming to prevent his potential move to Brighton. Barco’s versatility on the field has been evident this year, with roles including winger, left wing-back, and left-back, accumulating a goal and two assists from 32 matches.

As the transfer saga unfolds, the ball is in Barco’s court, with Brighton positioning itself as an attractive option for the promising Argentine talent to make his mark in European football.
