Assistant Head Coach drops a ten-word message ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup clash…

“There’s no reason we can’t go and win this game”...

Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke with the media ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Leyton Orient and he began by reflecting on last week’s win against Eastleigh.

He said: “We felt a little bit like we were hanging on at the end. We came through it though and that’s the most important thing.

“A win is a win, three points, it doesn’t matter how you get them. Our end goal is promotion and those three points help us towards that goal.

“We didn’t deal with their threats at the end but we’ve still won the game and our quality came through.

“It was another good win and we’re ready now for some FA Cup football.”

Webb also commented on the performances of captain Jamie Grimes and his role as captain, saying: “He’s been fantastic. I think he’s a credit to the club and being captain is exactly what he deserves.

“He’s repaid the faith that the gaffer has put in him. He’s been a rock at the back this season, we value him massively.

“He’s playing some of his best football ever and for sure he’s worked hard for it. Hopefully he’ll pull through again on Sunday and put in another fantastic performance.”

Webb finally commented on Sunday’s fixture and what it will bring. “I think it’s great, we’re buzzing for it,” he said.

“As it stands, we’ll know the next opponents before the game, which could potentially add some spice to it.

“It’s a fantastic game to be a part of for me personally, too. They’re a strong side, they have lots of threats.

“We’ll be looking for a win, we all know that, looking for a free hit in the third round against a massive team.

“It’s a winnable game, the odds are more with them but there’s no reason we can’t go and win this game. We’re all looking to progress to the next round.

“It’s going to be another massive home crowd too, so it’ll be another cracking atmosphere; we’re ready for it.”
