While Coleman has resumed match action with Everton’s reserve team, Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny opted to exclude him from the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against the Netherlands and the friendly against New Zealand. Kenny acknowledged Coleman’s prolonged absence, stating: “We’d love to have him here but he has been out for seven-and-a-half months. The Netherlands game, it is probably a bridge too far to jump into an international game straight from there.”
