Steve Cooper’s reaction as Nottingham Forest face Brighton transfer competition for South American star…

Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive amid claims that the Reds are interested in Piero Quispe.

English Premier League clubs Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Brentford are interested in signing Peruvian midfielder Piero Quispe, according to journalist Christian Martin.

Quispe, 22, has scored 11 goals for Ecuadorian side Universitario since making his debut in January 2021. He has also made one appearance for the Peru national team.

Martin claims that all three clubs have scouted Quispe and are interested in signing him in the January transfer window. He describes Quispe as a “Wonder Kid” with a lot of potential and a good foot that reminds him of Nolberto Solano.

Martin also claims that Nottingham Forest is particularly interested in Quispe, as they are looking for a player in that position.

It remains to be seen whether any of the three clubs will make a concrete offer for Quispe in January, but his impressive form for Universitario has certainly caught their attention.
