Ipswich Town’s star Freddie Ladapo expresses his dissatisfaction with his situation at the club despite their smooth run in the championship…

Ipswich Town is currently experiencing a period of positivity, but one player who might be dissatisfied with his situation at the club is Freddie Ladapo.

While the team as a whole has had a strong start to the season, Ladapo, on an individual level, has faced challenges. The striker has had limited game time with Ipswich this season, with just one start in the Championship and seven substitute appearances. He missed a recent match due to injury but has been in the matchday squad for all other league games.

At 30 years old, Ladapo is likely eager for more playing time, especially in a higher league, considering his career stage. He has demonstrated his ability to perform at the Championship level before, scoring nine goals in 42 appearances for Rotherham in the 2020-21 season. He has also made a promising impact for Ipswich this season, with two goals in eight league matches, including a brace in a comeback win against Cardiff.

Ipswich Town FREDDIE | IT FEELS WONDERFUL

Ladapo played a crucial role in Ipswich’s promotion from League One last season, featuring in all 46 matches and scoring 17 goals. Given his past contributions and his belief in his ability, he may feel deserving of more opportunities in the Championship, which have been limited so far.

Ladapo’s contract with Ipswich is set to expire at the end of next season, having signed a three-year deal in the summer of 2022. This makes the upcoming January transfer window a crucial period for the club to maximize Ladapo’s potential transfer value before he enters the final year of his contract.
