SAINTS manager Russell Martin admitted “our mentality has cost us two points” after a 1-1 draw at struggling Huddersfield Town.
Despite an injury crisis, Darren Moore’s Huddersfield Town managed to secure a draw with an 87th-minute equalizer from Ben Jackson on Saturday. Adam Armstrong, Southampton’s leading scorer, netted his 10th goal of the Championship campaign, opening the scoring at the end of a dominant first half.
Reflecting on the match, Martin, Huddersfield’s manager, expressed disappointment in the stark difference between the two halves. While praising the team’s brilliance in the first half, he noted a significant drop in energy and intensity after gaining a 1-0 lead.
