Just In: Philadelphia Phillies President Dave Dombrowski Shares Shocking Response on Bringing in a Bat to Replace the Third Baseman…

In a surprising twist as the trade deadline approaches, Philadelphia Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski addressed growing speculation about the team pursuing a bat to replace struggling third baseman Alec Bohm — and his response has left fans buzzing.

When asked directly about whether the Phillies would explore external options at third base, Dombrowski said, “We’re always evaluating the roster, but we still believe in the guys we have — especially Alec.” While he didn’t completely shut down the possibility of making a move, his firm backing of Bohm suggests the front office isn’t ready to pull the trigger on a major lineup shake-up just yet.

Bohm has had an up-and-down season at the plate and in the field, leading some fans and analysts to call for reinforcements. Names like Jeimer Candelario and Justin Turner have been floated as potential trade targets, but Dombrowski’s comments appear to downplay any urgency.

Still, in classic Dombrowski fashion, he kept the door slightly open: “If there’s a deal that makes sense and improves our club, we’ll look at it. But we’re not in panic mode.”

Whether that stance holds as the deadline draws near remains to be seen. But for now, it appears the Phillies are sticking with Bohm — unless the right bat becomes available at the right price.
