In an inspiring gesture of leadership and compassion, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix has invested $7.5 million of his own money to transform his personal residence into a shelter for homeless youth in the Denver metro area, team sources confirmed Wednesday.

The project, named “Bo’s Place,” will serve as a long-term housing and support center for at-risk youth, offering safe shelter, mentorship programs, academic assistance, and job readiness training. The initiative will operate in partnership with local nonprofits and city services.

“I’ve been blessed with opportunities that so many kids never get,” Nix said in a heartfelt statement. “If I can use my platform and resources to help even a few kids find stability and purpose, then that’s what I’m going to do. This community has embraced me — I want to give back in a real and lasting way.”

Though still early in his NFL career, Nix’s commitment to his new city has already earned widespread respect, not just from fans but from Broncos leadership as well. Head coach Sean Payton praised Nix’s maturity and compassion, calling the move “incredible and emblematic of the kind of person we believed we were drafting.”

Construction on the shelter is expected to begin this fall, with a projected opening in late 2025.

As Bo Nix begins writing his football legacy in Denver, he’s already making a generational impact beyond the game — one that will resonate with the city’s most vulnerable youth for years to come.
